These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MSA Educational Services website and services. By accessing our website at msaeducationalservices.com or booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Our services are designed for primary and secondary school students, but all bookings must be made by a parent, guardian, or authorized adult (18+). By booking, you accept these Terms on behalf of both yourself and the student.

If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access our website or use our services.

2. Definitions

  • "We," "us," "our" refers to MSA Educational Services
  • "You," "your" refers to the user, parent/guardian, or student accessing our services
  • "Services" includes all educational programmes: tutoring, academic olympiad registration, mock exams, and related services
  • "Student" refers to the child or learner receiving our educational services

3. Services Offered

MSA Educational Services provides:

  • Tutoring Services: One-on-one and small group tutoring for primary and secondary school students (KS1, KS2 & KS3) in Maths, English, Science, and other subjects
  • Academic Olympiad Registration: Registration support and preparation resources for national and international academic competitions
  • Mock Exams: Practice tests and exam preparation for SATs, 11+, and other school assessments
  • Educational Resources: Learning materials, practice papers, and study guides

4. Registration and Booking

4.1 Eligibility and Who Can Book

Our educational services are designed for primary and secondary school students (typically ages 5-14, KS1, KS2 & KS3). However, bookings and registrations must be made by a parent, guardian, or authorized adult aged 18 or over on behalf of the student.

By registering, you confirm that you:

  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Have parental responsibility or legal authority to enroll the student in our services
  • Accept these Terms on behalf of yourself and the student

4.2 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration. You must notify us promptly of any changes to student or contact information.

4.3 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email from us. Please review all details and contact us immediately if any information is incorrect.

5. Payment and Fees

5.1 Pricing

All prices are displayed in GBP (£) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect existing bookings.

5.2 Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. By providing payment information, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees.

5.3 Payment Schedule

  • Olympiad Registration: Full payment due at time of registration
  • Mock Exams: Payment due at booking
  • Tutoring: Payment terms as agreed in your tutoring contract

5.4 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will notify you. Services may be suspended until payment is received. Late payment may incur administrative fees.

6. Cancellation and Refund Policy

6.1 No Refunds Policy

All payments for our services are final and non-refundable. This includes, but is not limited to:

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law (for example, where services are not provided with reasonable care and skill, or are not provided at all).

  • Tutoring session fees
  • Olympiad registration fees
  • Mock exam fees
  • Any other educational services or resources

Once payment is processed, no refunds will be issued for any reason, including but not limited to: cancellations, no-shows, scheduling conflicts, change of mind, or dissatisfaction with services.

6.2 Tutoring Session Rescheduling

While refunds are not available, tutoring sessions may be rescheduled subject to the following conditions:

  • 24+ hours notice: Session may be rescheduled to another available time slot
  • Less than 24 hours notice: Session fee is forfeited; no rescheduling available
  • No-shows: Session fee is forfeited; no rescheduling available
  • Rescheduling is subject to tutor availability and must be used within the same term/booking period

6.3 Olympiad and Mock Exam Cancellations

Olympiad registrations and mock exam bookings are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. Once registered or booked, no changes, cancellations, or refunds will be processed.

Please ensure you carefully review all details before completing your booking, as all sales are final.

6.4 Cancellations by MSA Educational Services

We reserve the right to cancel services due to low enrollment, tutor unavailability, unforeseen circumstances, or force majeure events.

If we cancel a service, you will receive a full refund of the amount paid for that specific service. This is the only circumstance under which refunds will be issued.

7. Student Conduct and Expectations

7.1 Expected Behavior

Students are expected to:

  • Treat tutors and other students with respect
  • Arrive on time and prepared for sessions
  • Complete assigned work and practice materials
  • Follow instructions and guidelines during sessions and exams

7.2 Unacceptable Behavior

We do not tolerate bullying, disruptive behavior, or abuse of any kind. Serious or repeated misconduct may result in termination of services without refund.

7.3 Academic Integrity

Students must complete their own work. Cheating, plagiarism, or any form of academic dishonesty during mock exams or competitions will result in disqualification.

8. Parental/Guardian Responsibilities

  • Ensure students attend scheduled sessions on time
  • Provide a suitable learning environment for online sessions
  • Inform us of any special educational needs, medical conditions, or relevant information
  • Supervise young children during online sessions as appropriate
  • Notify us promptly of any safeguarding or welfare concerns
  • Communicate regularly with tutors regarding progress

9. Safeguarding

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children:

  • All tutors undergo DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks
  • We follow UK safeguarding legislation and best practices
  • Any safeguarding concerns will be reported to appropriate authorities
  • Parents/guardians may be required to remain within earshot during online sessions with young children

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Our Content

All content on our website and in our materials (text, images, worksheets, practice papers, logos) is owned by or licensed to MSA Educational Services. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

10.2 Licensed Use

Students may use provided materials for personal educational purposes only. Materials may not be shared, sold, or distributed to third parties.

11. Limitation of Liability

11.1 Service Quality

While we strive to provide high-quality educational services, we cannot guarantee specific academic outcomes or exam results. Student progress depends on many factors including effort, attendance, and individual ability.

11.2 Technical Issues

We are not liable for technical issues beyond our control (e.g., internet outages, device failures). We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule sessions affected by technical problems on our end.

11.3 Third-Party Services

We are not responsible for third-party olympiad organizers, examination boards, or their decisions. We act as a registration facilitator only.

12. Website Use and Restrictions

You agree not to:

  • Use the website in any unlawful manner or for fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or networks
  • Interfere with or disrupt the website or servers
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
  • Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

13. Data Protection and Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with UK GDPR.

14. Termination

14.1 By You

You may discontinue services at any time in accordance with our cancellation policy. Outstanding fees must be paid.

14.2 By Us

We may terminate or suspend your access to services immediately, without notice, for: breach of these Terms, non-payment, misconduct, or fraudulent activity.

15. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify you of significant changes via email when possible.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
